About Donovan Prison Ministry

This ministry holds chapel services at Donovan Prision. We try to reach inmates as they near the end of their sentence as we ecourage and disciple them on the inside. Our goal is for development toward a successful transition back into society as fruitful servants of Christ.

Do you desire to serve God? Do you have the ability to deliver an inspirational and motivating message? Do you have any musical talents? If so, this could be the ministry for you. This is an incredible ministry working with prison inmates nearing the end of their sentence, a ministry attempting to curb recidivism and encourage personal and spiritual development.

Ministry Goals

The goal of our ministry is for prisoners to grow as fruitful disciples of Christ. We recruit volunteers to lead prayer and spend fellowship time with inmates. Volunteers become a team member that work closley to help the prisoner move through a continuum of discipleship that begins on the inside and continues to a successful transition on the outside back into society as a faithful servant of Christ.

Wish List

  • Volunteers with music talent. Inmates will come off the prison yard and come into the chapel service if they hear music.
  • Men who have some experience in delivering messages to small groups. This is important to hold their interest.
